HANABI is a ramen house at Kamakura.

We are offering Ramen with the BEST combination of noodles and soup.

Ramen is a Japanese noodle soup.  Its origin was Lamian Chinese noodle soup, but Japanese made the different one called Ramen in the early 1900s.  It comes to be known overseas in the name of Ramen these days.

HANABI was founded by a Ramen fan and his wife more than 10 years ago at Hase of Kamakura where he has grown up.  It's commonly said that many of the new Ramen shops are closed within the first few years, but we will continue serving the good Ramen.

Our noodels are all home-made.  We use only flour, eggs, salt and lye water which are all free from any artificial additive.  Therefore, our noodles have the best mouth feel and pair nicely with our soup.

As for the soup, you would chose either the regular Ramen soup or the fish-broth soup which is popular among the locals.  Either is very delicious.

Aslo we make our original Roasted pork fillet of the Kagoshima-grown pigs.

(Kagoshima is a famous prefecture for the pig breeding.)
We slice it into the bigger size for a Ramen. Other ingredients such as egg, spinach, shungun are all hand-picked for the freshness and safety.  Even for the water, we have the water leaning machine in the house.

I opened HANABI with previous experience of cooking for other Ramen houses.  HANABI is family-run and there are some staff.   We are all dedicated to serve the good Ramen.  We are looking forward to your visit.

See you at HANABI !
